Net worth for a bank or a named addressee
Four purposes — bank finance, a bank guarantee, an education loan and general purpose — use the same wizard as the visa certificate: the individuals, then their financial, market and physical assets, then their liabilities. They keep the structure of the ICAI Handbook's Annexure III(ii): the individual's request letter, limited assurance over the documents behind each line, nine procedures, and a Conclusion.
Only the first step differs:
- Bank finance
The bank and branch, and the facility applied for.
- Bank guarantee
- The bank, and the guarantee sought.
- Education loan
The bank, the student, the student's relationship to the individual, and the course and institution.
- General purpose
A named addressee and the purpose. A certificate cannot be addressed "to whomsoever it may concern".
Each files under its own UDIN category (29, 30, 31 and 2), which the purpose pre-fills.
Name more than one individual and the certificate reads for several: "the individuals have asked us", "Individuals' Responsibility for the Statement", and each address is printed.
Income and sources of income
For a self-employed individual or professional. Enter the individual and their profession, phrased to follow "who is engaged in" ("practice as an architect"), the lender and the purpose. Then, for each year, the income under each head of the Income-tax Act, deductions, tax paid and the return's acknowledgement number and date. OptiVida works out gross total income and total income. List each source the income comes from.
Limited assurance, agreed to the returns filed and the documents behind each source. The certificate does not certify a return as a true copy.
MSME investment and turnover
Enter the financial year, the date the classification is stated for, the source of the figures, the investment in plant and machinery or equipment, total turnover and export turnover. Exports come off turnover. The certificate states the category the figures fall in, on the composite criteria of the MSMED Act, 2006 and notification S.O. 2119(E), as amended:
| Category | Investment up to | Turnover up to |
|---|---|---|
| From 1 April 2025 — Micro | Rs. 2.5 crore | Rs. 10 crore |
| Small | Rs. 25 crore | Rs. 100 crore |
| Medium | Rs. 125 crore | Rs. 500 crore |
| Before 1 April 2025 — Micro | Rs. 1 crore | Rs. 5 crore |
| Small | Rs. 10 crore | Rs. 50 crore |
| Medium | Rs. 50 crore | Rs. 250 crore |
An enterprise over either limit moves up a category. The limits applied are those in force on the date you give, and the Statement prints them. Registration on the Udyam portal is not certified.
Note
Check the limits against the Ministry's current notification before you issue. If they change again, the certificate's table needs updating.
Profitability for a tender
Enter the tender reference, the clause setting the condition, and whether the tender measures profit before or after tax. Then each year's revenue and profit or loss, with its source. The Opinion states how many of the years were profitable on that measure. Whether that meets the condition is for the tendering authority.
Capital contribution
For a partnership firm or LLP. Enter the deed or LLP agreement, the date, the source of the figures, and each partner's capital account: contribution agreed, opening balance, capital introduced, profit share, interest and remuneration credited (a loss as a negative figure), and withdrawals. OptiVida works out each closing balance and the total.
KYC — sole proprietorship
The Firm's constitution must be Proprietorship. Enter the proprietor, the nature of the business and when it began, and every document you examined — GST or Udyam registration, a shop licence, the proprietor's return showing the business income. Limited assurance on those documents. The bank's own customer due diligence stays the bank's, and the certificate says so.
Generating this certificate costs credits. You are shown the exact cost in the confirmation before it runs, and the current price list is on Settings → Credits and billing.
