Signing up and setting up
Signing in with Google, creating the CA profile that stamps your documents, and your free credits.
Signing in takes a moment. OptiVida then asks for one thing before letting you get on.
Signing in with Google
There is no separate OptiVida password. You sign in with a Google account, which means nothing new to remember and nothing for you to keep safe.
Use the account your practice actually uses — everything you produce is held against it.
Your first CA profile
Before the dashboard, OptiVida asks you to set up a CA profile: CA Name, Firm Name, FRN, Membership No, Designation and Place.
This is the identity that stamps what you issue. Nothing can be produced without it, which is why it is asked for first rather than at the moment of issue with the figures already entered.
Tip
What a CA profile is covers each field, and why you might keep several.
Your free credits
New accounts start with a balance, so you can produce real documents before paying for anything.
Nothing but generating a document spends them — adding clients, filling wizards, fetching from Tally and reviewing figures are all free.
Tip
See How credits work.
The dashboard
You land on the dashboard, which on a new account shows Start with a client, with an Add client button. Everything you produce is kept against a client, so that comes first.
Once you have work in progress it becomes more useful: drafts to resume, recent activity, recent clients, a Quick start for the most-used documents, and a report you can pick up where you left off.
The tour
A short product tour runs on first sign-in, fifteen steps covering what each part of OptiVida is for and where to find it. It is worth the two minutes.
Note
The tour spotlights real screens rather than describing them, so it is the fastest way to learn the layout. This documentation covers the same ground in more depth.
