The Connector is paired to another account
This device is linked to a different OptiVida sign-in than the one you are using.
A Connector is running on this machine, but it is linked to a different OptiVida sign-in.
"Paired to a different OptiVida account"
The Connector will not serve fetches to an account it is not paired with. That is the point of pairing.
Why it happens
- A shared machine
A colleague paired it to their account.
- You have two OptiVida accounts
And are signed in to the other one.
- A handed-over computer
It came from someone else with the Connector already installed and paired.
Fixing it
Open the Connector
From the notification area.
Go to Settings, then Account
It shows which OptiVida email it is paired to. Check whether that is genuinely the wrong one.
Choose Unpair this device
Pair again
Signed in as the account you want to use. Check the fingerprint matches before confirming.
Warning
On a shared machine, unpairing takes the Connector away from your colleague until they pair it again. Only one account at a time can hold a device, so check with them before unpairing rather than after.
The alternative on a shared machine
Sign in to OptiVida as the account the Connector is already paired to, if that account has access to the client you need.
Whether that is appropriate is a matter for your practice — but it avoids two people unpairing each other all afternoon.
If you cannot open the Connector
Signing out of OptiVida on the account that holds the pairing releases it. That needs access to that account.
Otherwise the person who paired it will have to unpair it from the Connector.
Tip
Pairing is covered at Pairing your device.
