Notes 3, 6, 13 and 14
Owners' movement, deferred tax, the fixed asset schedule and investments.
Four notes are not simply a column of figures against a list of labels. Each needs a record kept outside the ledger.
Note 3 — the owners' movement
A grid per owner, splitting into capital contribution and current accounts, showing the movement across the year.
The year's result is allocated by share, so the profit-sharing ratio has to be right before the note is.
- What you supply
Each owner, their share, and movements the ledger does not separate — introductions, drawings, remuneration, interest.
- What is derived
The allocation of the year's result, and the closing balances.
Note
A partnership's capital accounts often sit in Tally as one ledger per partner with everything mixed together. This note is where that gets separated, and it is worth doing from the partnership deed rather than by inspection.
Note 6 — deferred tax
The timing-difference working, in three columns.
- What you supply
The deferred tax balance at each year end.
- What is derived
The charge or credit for the year — the movement between them.
You supply the two balances; the difference is arithmetic, and OptiVida does it. That mirrors what the template's own formula does.
Note 13 — the fixed asset schedule
The biggest of the four, and the one most affected by a choice you made on Basic Info.
- Net BlockBasic Info
Written-down values, with movements.
- Gross BlockBasic Info
Cost, accumulated depreciation, and the net figure.
Either way you supply the movement — additions, deletions, depreciation — per asset class, and the full class list always prints whether or not the entity holds that class.
Warning
The presentation is fixed once per report, and each has its own sub-heads for classifying fixed asset ledgers. Switching after classifying means revisiting those ledgers. Decide on Basic Info before you start.
Note 14 — investments
Face value and unit counts, from the investment register.
Tally does not hold a register of investments in the form this note needs, so these come from you. The balances come from the ledger; the particulars do not.
Where to see what is still outstanding
The Checks sheet lists every entry these four notes are waiting on, so you do not have to open each in turn to find the gaps.
Tip
Remember that a blank is "not answered" and 0 is "none". See
