Why everything starts with a client
Add a business or individual once, and their details fill themselves into every document you make for them.
A client in OptiVida is a business or individual you work for, recorded once and reused by everything you produce for them.
Add once, reuse everywhere
Type a client's PAN and address once. From then on they arrive pre-filled in every certificate, report and set of statements you make for that client — and when a detail changes, you correct it in one place.
That is the whole idea, and it is why the product nudges you towards adding the client before starting the work rather than after.
What a client record carries
- Full name
- The name as it should print on a document.
- PAN
Used across certificates, the CMA report and Form 3CD.
- Passport number
- For visa certificates.
- Address
- The registered or communication address.
- Proprietor name
- Where the entity has one.
- GSTN
- Carried into the tax audit report.
- Aadhar
- Where it is needed.
- Line of activity
The nature of the business. Feeds the tax audit's business particulars.
- Number of employees
- Used in CMA schedules.
- Unit type
- The classification of the unit.
Only the name is needed to get started. The rest can be filled in as the work demands it — an incomplete client record does not block anything.
What is client-scoped, and what is not
- CertificatesClient optional at the start
You can begin from New and pick the client inside the wizard.
- CMA reportsStarted from the client
Open the client, then the CMA Reports tab.
- Tax audit reportsStarted from the client
Open the client, then the Tax Audit tab.
- Financial statementsOne set per client, per year
The client and the financial year together identify the statements.
Individuals as well as businesses
A client does not have to be a company. A person applying for a visa is a client too — the fields you leave blank simply do not print.
Everything for one client, in one place
Opening a client gives you a page with a tab for each kind of work. It answers "what have we done for them?" without searching, and it is the usual place to start a CMA or tax audit report. New, at the top of any page, can start one too, but asks for the client first.
