Where you land, and what it is trying to tell you.

On a new account

A single card, Start with a client, with an Add client button. Certificates, reports and statements are all kept against a client, so that is the first thing to do.

Once you are working

The page opens with a greeting and today's date, then the financial year just ended and its assessment year: the year most of your reports are about. Both roll over on 1 April.

Pick up where you left off

The CMA or tax audit report you were last in, with the step you reached and a Resume button. It appears only when there is one to go back to.

Drafts to resume

Certificates you have not finished, with the client, the step each one reached and when you last edited it. The single most useful thing on the page — unfinished work is the easiest to lose track of.

Recent activity

The newest entries from your activity log, under Today, Yesterday and Earlier, with a count for this week.

Credits, Certificates and Clients

Your balance, the certificates generated to date and your clients, each with a link: Buy credits, View certificates and View clients.

Quick start

The four most-used starts. Visa net worth certificate opens the wizard; CMA report and Tax audit report ask which client first; Import bank statement opens the import dialog. All options opens the New menu.

Recent clients

Who you have been working for, most recently updated first. The search box opens the Clients list filtered to what you typed.

Drafts cost nothing

A part-filled wizard or a half-classified workspace waits indefinitely at no cost. There is no reason to rush one to completion, or to delete one to save anything.

Your credits

The Credits figure is your balance, and Buy credits takes you to Settings→Credits and billing, which warns Running low when the balance gets thin. The balance is also at the foot of the sidebar, with Buy beside it.

Activity

Activity is the fuller version, and View activity at the top of the dashboard opens it. It lists certificates and reports generated, clients added and drafts edited, grouped by day with the time of each, newest first. The chips above the list narrow it to Certificates, Reports or Clients.

Useful when you come back after a break and want to pick up the thread, or when you are not sure whether you generated something.

The New menu

The New button at the top right of every page, and All options in Quick start, both open it. Everything you can create, grouped into Certificates, Reports and Statements, with a client, a ledger import and a scrutiny run along the bottom.

Choose something client-scoped from here and OptiVida asks which client, rather than sending you off to find one first.
