Settings and Preferences
The four settings sections, and the document margins that apply to your certificates.
Four settings sections, and the one preference that currently does anything.
The four sections
- CA profiles
Identities that sign certificates and reports.
- Tally connector
Whether the connector on this computer is installed and paired, and the download.
- Credits and billing
Balance, packs, pricing and recent activity.
- Preferences
Document layout, and what is planned.
On a narrow screen the four sit in a row under the Settings heading instead of down the side.
Page margins
The one preference that takes effect today, under Document layout on the Preferences page. It sets the top and bottom page margins, in inches, of the certificates you generate. The A4 preview beside the fields shows the result as you type, and nothing is saved until you choose Save margins.
Worth setting before your first certificate, so your documents match your practice's letterhead from the start.
Note
Changing margins does not reformat documents already produced. To apply new margins to an existing certificate, export a fresh version — which costs nothing, since a certificate is charged only once.
What is planned
The Roadmap card at the foot of the Preferences page lists what is planned but not yet built. It has no controls, so there is nothing there to set:
- Default bank template, financial year format, theme and email notificationsPlanned
Until then, choose the bank template on the CMA report itself. Support replies arrive in Help, not by email.
- Document storage per clientPlanned
The client's Documents tab is marked coming soon.
- Stock Statement and QIS ReportPlanned
Listed in the New menu, but not yet available.
Your profile
Profile, from the account menu under your name at the foot of the sidebar, holds your personal information, separate from the CA profiles that stamp documents. Log out is in the same menu.
Note
Signing out unpairs the Tally Connector. Pairing again takes under a minute, but it is a step you will not be expecting.
