How credits work
What a credit is, the three ways your balance moves, and why the balance and its history can never disagree.
Credits are what OptiVida charges for producing a document. This page explains what moves your balance and what does not.
What a credit is
A unit of account, held against your login. Producing a finished document spends some; buying a pack adds some. Different products cost different amounts.
Every new account starts with a balance, so you can try the product before paying for anything.
You are charged when the document is produced
Not when you start, and not while you work. Everything up to the moment of generation is free:
- Adding and editing clients
- Filling in a wizard, however many times you come back to it
- Fetching a year from Tally
- Reviewing figures, correcting classifications, entering your own numbers
- Saving drafts
The charge happens at the point OptiVida produces the artifact — the PDF, the workbook, the report. You see the exact cost in a confirmation first.
Nothing is charged for a failed generation
If a generation cannot complete, no credit is taken. And if your balance is short, OptiVida refuses before doing any work rather than part-way through: your figures are exactly where you left them.
The three ways your balance moves
- You generate a documentBalance decreases
The cost for that product, taken once the document exists.
- You buy a packBalance increases
Credited after the payment is confirmed.
- Support makes an adjustmentEither direction
Occasionally, and always with a stated reason recorded against it.
There is no fourth way. Nothing expires, and nothing is deducted for storage, for keeping clients, or for signing in.
The balance and its history always agree
Every movement writes a line to your activity list at the same instant it changes the balance — the two cannot come apart, and a movement cannot be recorded twice. What the Credits page shows you is the whole story.
Find it at SettingsCredits and billing: your current balance, the current price of each product, and your recent activity.
