Basic details
The people the certificate is about, the dates it carries, and who it is addressed to.
The first step, headed Basic Information, settles who the certificate is about, when it speaks as of, and who it is addressed to.
Who it is about
- Select Existing Clients
Pulls a client's particulars in. Skip it and type by hand for a one-off.
- Individualsrequired
One row per person. Each carries Full Name, Passport Number and Address.
Add as many individuals as the certificate covers. Their assets are recorded once, in the steps that follow, and the total is the household's.
The two dates
- Certificate Daterequired
The date the certificate is issued and speaks as of.
- Engagement Daterequired
When you were engaged for this work.
Note
Every balance you enter later should be as at the Certificate Date. A bank balance from three months earlier alongside a valuation from last week does not describe a net worth on any particular day.
Who it is addressed to
For a visa certificate:
- Embassy / Consulate Name
The mission the certificate is being submitted to.
- Embassy Address
Tip
A loan certificate asks for a bank instead — see Loan certificates.
Stating the total in a foreign currency
Embassies often want the figure in their own currency.
- Foreign Currency
USD, CAD, EUR, GBP or AUD.
- Exchange Rate
The rate you are certifying at. You supply it; OptiVida does not fetch a rate of its own.
Leave both blank and the certificate states rupees only.
Warning
The exchange rate is yours to justify. OptiVida applies exactly the rate you type and states it on the certificate — it will not silently use a market rate or a rate from another date.
Notes / Remarks
Free text carried onto the certificate. Every section has one; use it for anything the structured fields cannot express.
