Review and issue
Checking the preview, choosing the issuing firm, and entering the UDIN.
The last step sets out everything you have entered, and asks the two things only you can supply.
The preview
At the top, the certificate's particulars sit beside its Net worth, with the movable assets, immovable assets and liabilities it comes from. Below, each earlier step has a card of what you entered in it. Read it here rather than after exporting — this is the cheapest point at which to catch a wrong figure or a missing holding.
Note
If the summary is not what you expected, the fault is in a step, not in the arithmetic. Edit, on that step's card, takes you back to it; the summary updates.
The three fields below sit in the Issue card, under the summary.
Select Issuing CA Firm
Which of your CA profiles signs this certificate. Its name, firm, FRN, membership number, designation and place print on the document.
Your default profile is pre-selected. Change it here if a different firm or partner is issuing this one.
Tip
Keeping several identities is covered in Adding, editing and choosing a profile.
UDIN Certificate Type
When you generate a UDIN for a certificate, the ICAI portal asks you to pick its type from a list of 36. This field records which one you picked, so the certificate and its UDIN filing agree. The list is the portal's, as the ICAI Handbook reproduces it in Annexure II — numbering, wording and all.
It is filled in for you from the purpose you chose when you started the certificate: a visa certificate starts at 32. Net worth Certificates for Visa by Foreign Embassy, a tender certificate at 34. Turnover Certificate. Where no entry fits, the portal's own instruction is to choose 36. Others and describe the certificate in the portal's Document Description.
Note
The field is optional and never blocks issuing. It is not printed on the certificate.
UDIN Number
The Unique Document Identification Number you generated for this certificate on the ICAI portal.
Warning
OptiVida prints the UDIN you type and does not validate it. Generate it on the ICAI portal for this specific document and copy it across carefully — a transposed digit produces a certificate that cannot be verified, and you will not find out from OptiVida.
What happens when you submit
Create certificate, at the foot of the step, submits it. This is the point the certificate is charged, once. You land in the A4 editor with the certificate laid out as it will print.
If anything required is missing, OptiVida names it and submits nothing. The step list shows which step it is on.
